Penguin-Viking to publish The Zoologist's Guide to the Galaxy

Exciting news! 🎉 I am writing a popular science book on what studying life on Earth 🌎 can tell us about life on other planets 👽, and the evolutionary processes that *must* be shared on other worlds. #Zoology meets #aliens and #SETI

Forget imagined TV aliens. We share one thing with all life in the universe: evolution. Our origins are different, but the same processes that drove birds to squawk, wolves to howl, and humans to write poetry, must shape the way aliens look and behave. Aliens may be green or blue; have two legs, many legs, or none, but if they have families and pets, read and write books, and care for their children and their relatives, it will be for the same evolutionary reasons that animals on Earth do the same.
